My version: Original Version (jump to around 1:40): Hey guys,

I have been working vigorously on a remix for super8 & tab's "Soul's of Lovers" and I am having trouble getting my mix to sound as big and epic as theirs does. I am getting close but could use some advice on how to get closer.

Do I need to change up the EQ? Mess with time based effects? Use different sounds?

Really just looking for general feedback here. I recreated all the chords by listening through a few times. I've also added some of my own sounds.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

ps. if anybody knows where I can get the acapella for the original I would be forever grateful.

Sound Design / How do I pull the vocals out of a finished song?
« on: January 09, 2016, 08:10:37 pm »
Obviously I know this cannot be done perfectly. But does anybody have a decent method for pulling the vocals out of a completely finished track? It sucks when you want to remix a song but cannot find an acapella for the lyrics anywhere  :-\

Hey guys!

First of all, super pumped that this forum has become a thing. I have been producing electronic music for a little over a year now and have never had a good avenue for feedback. I have watched a couple of tutorials here and there but by and large I have just kinda figured things out.

I would love any feedback you guys have for me but more than anything I hope you enjoy the song!

ps. there are loads more tracks on my sound cloud. I am always trying to finish a new song every week.

Cheers
