WIPs / Re: New WIP (Progressive Psy)

Glad you like it. Much appreciated.

So far I have the basic foundation of how the track will be.  Any comments on the arrangement? How are my tracks levels?  I'm always worried in this arena.  I'm at a point that I need to add a few psy elements like "squelch" leads and stabs.  Also the quick drum hits that carries the build until the drop.  Any advice on these elements?  I think once I get that down, the second half of the track will write itself...

Thanks again!

It's definately got that Chill, Future <insert genre here> sound.  If you haven't already, look up "The XXX" in sc.  They play something very similar.

Finally sculpted that psy bass I need that sounds punchy and groovy (not sampled).  Didn't know that Ableton Operator and stock audio effect will do the trick.  Feedback is appreciated!

Awesome advice/tips guys.  Thank you.  I think I was able to find the right combination of chains to get that punchy bass.  It really took just Ableton's Operator, eq8, Multi-band limiter and Kickstart compressor to do the trick.

Here's a what came out of it.  New project, key at B instead of F#.

Work in progress above...I still find the bass lacking punch. Any advice on proper chains?  Also, is it really necessary to purchase a sub to mix the low end?

Thanks!
