Also MMIC, I lowered the overall volume except percussion in my mix and added a bit more sidechain, and its super clear in the mastered version. Thanks for the tips  ;D

I'm gonna have to agree that there is very little bass, and take it a bit further, there's not much for mid-range either.
Also I don't sense much of an actual melody or defined chord progression (but I mean that's kind of what I prefer in tracks), but that high end synth seems to be more all over the place than anything.

The production is super clean though! Props!

Hey thanks for the feedback! Yeah the one thing I still struggle with is getting a decently loud (and when i say decently loud, i mean a normal amount of loudness) mix that has percussion that pops without the synths sounding weak. Any tips on that?

EDIT: dialing back my limiter and compressor helps, but the percussion is still pretty weak. Probably just mixing issues

Sweet track man! LOVE the chord hits and the delay with them, not gonna lie, gonna try to recreate that synth myself. A few things I'd offer to think about is using a different lead during the chorus, and perhaps sidechaining the bass/chords in the chorus? Lastly, and this one isn't as needed, the bass could be a bit bigger in the chorus! It just seems like a simple saw bass and it'd sound pretty cool for a bigger one (in my opinion of course).

Vocal chops are sick, melody is awesome.

Interesting.. can I ask what synths you used? Particularly that first lead sounds a bit like a preset on an older synth. The rest, however, are pretty awesome. Love the video game-esque sounds, but I don't know how well they work as leads around the 1:20 mark (but hey, thats just my opinion). Strong chords, strong bass, great beat and fills though man!

Opened up FL for the first time about 8 months ago and started self-teaching music production. This is probably my first real attempt at a remix. I wanted it to be longer but this is as far as i'll go with this track. Let me know what's wrong/what better choices I could have made technically and musically (this is unmastered).
