I've been working on some new stuff, bit different from everything I've ever done.
Let me know what you guys think.

Wait so is the very subtle white noise I hear on most Future bass chords tracks like this one, give it it dynamic, make it sound sloppy if you will?

Exactly!
In this example you can hear the white noise sitting on top perfectly, and you see how its also automated exactly like the synth.
You can also notice that the white noise is occasionally paired with a crash cymbal when the kick hits for extra ooomph.

I went ahead and tried to make something as well, the drums are just a stock sample from vengeance just as a place holder, anyways here it is:

Let me know if you guys want me to in depth on how I made it.

Sound Design / Re: Pad Design Thread

What I've done in the past that has stood out is using male/female choir playing the chords with the sustain at about 3/4, I then bounce that to audio and reverse it. Not only does it help to fill the track like a pad would do, it also adds depth and movement to the 'foundation'. I recommend using this technique in addition to the typical detune+saw+lp+etc pad.

Also, you can also manipulate the release of vocal samples/decay of its reverb to act as pads.

Hope that is helpful!

1. Don't worry about getting as many plugins as you can, instead find one or two for each aspect of production and master them. Only move on once full mastery has been achieved.

2. The internet is your friend. For every question you may have, there will already be 54835483975 other people who would have had it already. In addition, there are incredibly helpful information out there. Whenever you don't feel like producing, read. No matter how much you think you know, there's always more.

3. Learn to move on. Sometimes you are trying to fix a sound, a song, and you spend so much time on fixing it that you lose track of where you want to go. Do not be afraid to delete things, or to start over. A blank page, although daunting, can be very inspiring.

The key in making the movement in the main synths in the drop is Automating the Volume (gain) according to whatever pattern fits best. You can do this manually, or you can also put an LFO on it and then change the rate accordingly so it does not sound stagnant.

Additionally, you can automate the panning on that same synth, I usually do it slightly but with a past pace.

In terms of waveform square waves tend to work best, but feel free to pair with saw or others.

A tip to make it sound bigger is to layer a white noise on top of it, playing the same pattern from the automation mentioned above. This is important, but use it with discretion - it should only be a subtle addition.

All these techniques were used in this track - I can solo the synth/each layer of the synth and go through everything I have done if you guys want!:

Alright mates,
Really glad there's a new flourishing community for producer related discussions.
This is my first post - hopefully of many more to come.
I have producing for some time now, so I hope I can be of help to as many people as possible.
Anyways, would love to know what you guys think of my next possible release. I'm still fixing things here and there and some feedback would be much welcomed. The link is private, so the embeding is likely not to work, so I'm going to post the link below just in case.
