One trick I've learned is humming your beat into your microphone directly to your DAW. Then you can place the drums according. I always beat box random beats while I'm going about my day. Once you've got the drums all down in midi I would recommend messing with the velocity.

If you don't really have a clue where to place drums at all; I would recommend you just listen to more music with drums you'd like to produce. Even listening to songs with drums you would never consider using is helpful to get your creativity flowing.

Dude! Really digging this track, I love trance. For some reason at 1:45 it sounds like there too much going on.

Hey! I like the track so far. I think the the vocals that come in are a little harsh for my liking. Also the feels like it takes to long to build up into your final drop. Other than that it's pretty neat.

I've disabled all my plugins on the master and there isn't automation. When I put a different sample there it does go away. I have no clue whats going on.

Ah yea, that was defiantly the problem. I had small fade-ins but I guess they weren't enough. Cheers!

Edit: Ugh wait no its doing it still. It's weird, when I put the sample in a specific place on the arrangement it pops.

I tried both of these things. It's a sample I used for the atmosphere that is popping. It doesn't do this in the original sample. But after I cut it up it started to pop.
