- Your hihat loop and kick drum does not match up, they're different BPMs.
- The sub drop every 8 beats feels really unnecessary
- The vocals are kinda ill-fitting
- I think in the drop there are a few too many things going on at the beginning of each measure, if you're gonna try to make it complex you should spread things about a bit and maybe add more as the track goes on to reduce the repetitiveness.
- Sub bass is completely nonexistent in the drop.

Also, for the record, I'd categorize this as house.
which hats and kick drums are you referring to? the intro?

So idk what genre to call this track, I just started working on it today and I think it sounds pretty good so far. What do you guys think? Also, what genre would you classify it as?\

Composition/Arrangement/Theory / Remixes
« on: January 06, 2016, 07:53:38 pm »
Hello, this is an issue I've been wondering about for a while. I can't figure out how to do a proper remix. Like I don't understand how people take the "stems" which are just audio files of the song and blend their own elements into it and make it sound like one song.

Like for remix competitions, why on earth do they give out the stems ? Do people actually take the long ass wav file of the songs "drums (example)" and do shit with it?
