Mixing/Mastering / Re: Reverb on a kick?

Techno hall reverb kicks  ;)

it's great.  I bought it after demoing it for 2 minutes.

Eventide's band delays is killer.

Fxpansion Bloom can be pretty cool too, albeit a bit cpu intensive

Soundtoys Echoboy should basically be on everyone's computer.

The soundhack stuff is always really fun.

Jeeez Matt you've gone in ! I've held off for so long ,but think it's time to start . My fav is the Prophet 12 and the Sub37 .

I'm about to off my MKS50 and Little Phatty towards the new OB6 when they're for sale in the UK, but would be curious to know how the P12 stacks up in terms of sounding analogue, given it's more towards digital?  Or is it all about the immense sonic palette with the P12?  I just worry the possibilities might be too much and the sound not as warm.

fuck the p12, get the oberheim.

I need to properly check it out, but DMG Audio makes some of the best plugins I've heard.  I absolutely swear by equilibrium, and frequently pull expurgate, or compassion.  I have no doubt limitless is equally as good based on their track record.

I use the VBC Grey comp across almost every mix.

eventide, valhalla, uad 224 and 250

check that you're not clipping the shit out of your master bus.  while your daw is floating point and will allow headroom above 0dbfs, a rendered file will not.

My favorites that I own are SCI Pro One, Roland SH-09 and Roland Juno Alpha.

My favorites that I've used and wish that I owned:
1. OSCar - it's fucking awesome! best bandpass filter I've ever heard
2. Crumar Spirit - surprisingly gnarly, lots of character
3. Oberheim Xpander
4. Hartmann Neuron

Man, the xpander is probably my favorite analog synth too.

8dio and LA Scoring Strings. Pricy but you get what you pay for.

instead of searching for them online, (which to be honest, defeats the purpose a bit), get a field recorder and do it yourself.  It's way more satisfying and educational.  Will be the best $200 you've spent in a while.

What field recorders do you recommend?  Looking to get one

Can't go wrong with a zoom h4 to start out with
