honestly i feel like you can mix on anything you want. this has been stated by many producers. yes it might be best to mix on the best studio monitors that are available in the bets room with the best acoustics in it.... but.... many producers say they mix on the worst of the worst.
and mixing on the beats is fine as long as when you test in your car or monitors or headphones and even your laptop speakers, that the final product sounds good across all of them.
you just need to know what the final product should sound like and then you can go right back and amp up that bass if it wasn't enough in the first place... just because you thought it was enough because of the beats boosting it doesn't mean you can't go right back after testing on other systems and boost it more because you were wrong.
