If anyone using FL sees this and is wondering the same thing: the basic 'play the sample at the same speed but at different pitches' functionality is now available using a Sampler channel. Get the FL12.3 Release Candidate and just pick 'Stretch' as the Time Stretching mode.

This KVR thread has some possible solutions that you may already know about. Specifically Voxengo Deconvolver, which isn't super expensive.

This thread looks like exactly what I was looking for, thanks/

I prefer the superior absorbency of Bounty quilted.

Very weak paper towel game bro. Import some of Her Majesty's finest Regina Blitz (https://goo.gl/ixcALo) and wipe some of that smug-ass yank sarcasm off your face ya fucken heathen.

Thanks a lot for the reply man. I wonder whether I am just looking at it all wrong. I wasn't thinking about it in terms of which frequencies were prominent (or not).

Another example: https://clyp.it/qvtmczqd

I was hearing sounds like that in the second bar of the above and thinking of it as a fuller sound being played through some shitty cabinet and re-recorded, when ultimately all it is is a drastically EQ'd version of the original. Does that even make sense? Maybe all I'm asking is how to make thin sounds thicker. In that case, are there any other ways to thicken a thin sound other than EQ?

Thanks and apologies if none of this makes sense

Forgive me if this is a really stupid question, I'm new to this.

Is there a reliable method for making a sound that is wet, dry? I don't know how to describe it properly, so here's an example:

https://clyp.it/l0dwavbi

This is just me playing a simple chord twice, the first time is with no reverb or effects- here it sounds like the mics were placed inside the body of the piano. Then I play it again, but this time put into a 'space' using Trash 2's 'Convolve' module. Is there any way to process a sound like the second (wet) chords so that it sounds more like the first (dry) set? Specifically, it would be great to be able to do this without buying a 'de-reverb' plugin.

Thanks guys

I recently tried the demo of Harmor and loved the fact I could drop a one shot from another synth into it and re-synthesise it. Specifically, being able to take a single sample and realistically play it within an octave of its original pitch without the sample duration changingis really handy. I don't have the money for Harmor and don't believe this is possible in either of the two synths I own (Synthmaster and Serum). Do you guys know of any free (or very cheap) plugins that allow me to do this? Cheers
