I think the idea is there, but nothing encapsulates me. Try throwing in some other fx as background. Maybe try adding some pads underneath, or some sidechained white noise? It seems like your synth melody is what you are wanting to stand out most so find sounds that accent that nicely. Keep working on it man! Don't rush it.
