Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Line level instruments in into Hi-Z connection

My interface is all out of line level inputs and I don't play with guitars, just synths. A) what would happen if I plugged a synth into th ed Hi-Z, b) is there any way around the issue besides upgrading my interface? Steinberg UR44...
