This kind of contradicts TheAGNO3's comment, but I've found it helpful to develop a unique style. Take 3 of your favorite artists, from different genres, and ask yourself; what do you like about them? What is it about those artists that really resonates with you? Are there production techniques that you would love for your own music? Take what you get from that, and try to find a way to combine them into a new unique sound.
I do also agree with what others are saying, there is no formula to discover your own style. It takes time, and messing around until you find something that hits you in the core.
Hope that helps someone.
