of course that helps, and cheers for inputting that, which i could always put more research into as well, it doesn't hurt to become more proficient in your craft =]. I have the basic knowledge of synthesis and 6 years of producing so i can make a sound , i will say though that most of the times is starting from a basic wave i choose  with an idea of a sound in mind and then a lil bit of trial and error messing with different parameters and knobs until i'm happy with one i like.

I'm just curious if there is some hidden gems out there pertaining to V-station, cause i don't see many videos of producers using it or showing what they have made with it.

thanks for the synth secrets link btw Snow =]

Sound Design / V-Station..yes you heard correct, that old vst :P

So i love using V-station, especially making trance sounds and what not but mainly overall just for that old school 90's type of sounds personally.

Now why i am posting this is that i'm curious if anyone knows of some good tutorials or more elaboration on different sounds to create or maybe personal tips and tricks. Everytime i've searched up V-station tuts i've only come across one patch tutorial and a few videos describing all the setup and knobs of the vst but not sound design.

The Presets. Gorillaz. a million indie electronic bands from 2007. Daft Punk. Justice. Bloody Beetroots.

but mainly my friends and family who like to see what i create.

and my producer friends Crizzly, Logun, Marrow Machines, and Lil Skil. They all bring different approches and aspects to my mindset of music. One has Fame and super energy driven clean tracks that challenges me to want to achieve that level of quality in my music, another has super impressive mixing and sound design skills beyond belief and amazes me how he isn't already famous, one is the most down to earth guys who has an insane amount of knowledge on anything and everything music, we always have a lengthy discussion anytime we link up or chat, and the last homie of mine has the most pure creative off the wall trippy music that just throws you in a ball of emotions with his vocals and track arrangements, he just makes me feel like making music from the center of my soul.

Inspiration/Creativity/Motivation / Re: What/Who inspired you to start?
« on: January 11, 2016, 03:49:50 pm »

(i could add so much to the story but this is just what inspired me and got me into making music)

Grew up on Classic Rock, and then around middle school in the 90's when fat boy slim and darude's sandstorm was played at school dances i fell in love with electronic music, and looked for techno music online when the internet was getting bigger and better. And continued listening to anything electronic or with keyboards. Was super inspired by some indie electronic bands like The Presets and Metronomy, Hot Chip, a lot of that new rave music. Always wanted to be in a small keyboard band like that, but never really pursued it. I was doing video editing and special effects stuff , making movies since i was a kid.( I remember using Sony Acid Pro 1.0 and making some trash sample based techno tracks, but never counted that as my beginning to producing)... So one day i had a hip hop producer friend install reason 5 on my pc and teach me the ropes. I started with Dubstep, but i knew in the long run i would tackle anything especially house and electro being a dancer and having my own crew at one period that danced to electro. I've kept up with producing ever since cause i loved electronic music and dancing and going to shows and also cause i really love programs, they are so fun to mess with.

And so 6 years later.

I'm still doin it. =]

A 80's Bootleg Remix i did. These type of remixes have really helped me hone in on my mixing and eq'ing, trying to blend everything around a full track can be pretty daunting, but also makes me feel so much more secure whenever i make an original and have all the room i want for mixing. =]
