Yes x100.

At this point (I've been making music for over 9 years) - it's more beneficial for me to learn about personal development, take the analogies, and apply those ideas to my music (rather than watching yet another video on compression or something).

Really interesting how the same concepts apply to any 'path to mastery'.

Going around the world playing shows is hugely inspiring, don't think of it as 'losing previous sources of inspiration' - but gaining new ones.

Honestly though, discipline is so much more important than inspiration.

That can work, if you're confident it will turn out good - go for it.

As you said though, would be much easier to swap/layer in another sample.

Love the chords man. I'd layer the 'tok' of a 505 kick or something though to make it cut through.

Super refreshing... I'd try layering a kick with some more sub in there (only small/short though).

The pluck gets a bit loud around 3.52, and takes away from the otherwise immersive effect of the track. The outro section is also a little abrupt, could definitely be smoother. Nice work though!

Sounds like you might have a plugin delay compensation issue (on the main plucky lead in the chorus, and the hihats are delayed also), either that or they're just slightly out of place.

Really nice vocals/melody.. melody could use some variation at some point though.
Also would add some more to the low end.. lower sub or something to fill it out more.
