Hey everybody! I'll start off by introducing myself. My names Steven, or New Supreme, and I like to produce mainly bass music. Mostly trap influenced.
Anyway, I've been looking to find a way to clean up my mixes, and get a good loud master. Right now my tracks are sounding okay, but I really want to get that extra kick to get everything sounding great.
So, my main question is, once you have your track in Ableton, all laid out and mixed to the best of your ability, what is your next step to start mastering your track? Do you start grouping and export your stems to a different project? Do you just go into the same project's master chain and start mastering? Should I look into protools or any other 3rd party vsts other than Izotope ozone? I'm just trying to get a better feel for mastering and the more technical side of it all and get going in the right direction.
Also, any other tips and tricks for mixing down/mastering in Ableton with any 3rd party software added are welcome! (:
Thanks in advance!
