Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Giving DAW´s more power
« on: June 27, 2016, 02:53:37 pm »
Hey guys,

i have a, well a little bit weird, problem:

Since some month´s i use this medion laptop for producing (DAW: FL Studio main and Ableton sometimes):
Medion Erazer X7613 http://www.notebooksbilliger.de/medion+erazer+x7613+md99123+notebook
and i love it. It is super powerful (a little bit big tho, but i like it anyway).

The thing is: This is normally a gaming laptop. Now i do not play games (that´s why i did not recognize it till now), but i downloaded a game and played a bit:
The whole computer starts to get more powerful. Everything (if you tab out) works faster (the pc is already fast af) and the second cooler starts working (yes this notebook has 2 coolers ^^).

Now what i want to know: Does anyone know how i can make my pc recognize my DAW´s as a game? So i can use the whole power of it? Because if i open up a lot of Plugins (30+) in a project and add a lot of effects, it starts clipping in parts with many automation clips.

Thank you a lot in advance :)

Sincerely

PS: I already tried taskmanager -> details -> priority -> realtime but it did not work :(

Hey,

i wanted to know, if someone of you ever used a 2 in 1 Tablet like the microsoft surface for producing music.
How is the handling? Do you have a proper workflow? Do you have any problems with plugins or your DAW? Is the hardware good enough for producing music without having trouble?

I ask this, because i´m often traveling around and over all these 2 in 1 Tablets are really nice to handle i think. And they are getting very powerful aswell.

Would be happy to hear from you.

Kind regards
