Hello gang!!
I made this track which is a bit of a change from what I normally make. I usually make progressive music but more club focused stuff. This is slightly more 'song' focused - with regards to the vocals and lyrics. For that reason I released it independently rather than put it out on beatport or the labels I normally release on.
It is actually available to download for 50p via my Bandcamp page:

I just cant make my mind up on this one! I usually stick to progressive / techno type tracks but I do have a house alias also. What are peoples thoughts on this one?

Hi guys, more of a 'dj' question here but thought id see if anyone in here knows anything about this.
I understand that a lot of guys 'record mixes' from their laptop. Obviously for promotional purposes. You know, labels put out podcasts to promote music and their releases, DJs put out podcasts etc
Now I understand that recording mixes from decks is better blah blah blah....... but I am looking for something to record for when I am away from home. I don't really want to invest in traktor as I prefer to mix from cdjs (and I am tight).
Now what I want to know is: does anyone have experience in doing this with Rekordbox? I see you can record in rekordbox but there is just a crossfader....no EQs....seems strange to me? anyone used it before? what was the outcome?

New one from me! little bit of an experimental thing for me. I normally stick to progressive or straight up house but i took some slight progressive and tech house influences here. Some kinda old 80s style synths but more of a tech house rhythm.

Hello gang!
though id post a little thread in here letting you know of some videos I have started doing where I go through some basic mixing stuff.
I have only done a couple videos on my youtube channel thus far but I do plan on doing more. If there are topics people would like me to cover then feel free to comment on videos and let me know!
Unfortunately I use my laptop mic - so sorry for the quality on the mic but the point is to run through some simple production stuff.
Ive done little videos on reverb sends, some simple bass processing techniques and this one which is some of the vocal processing going on.
Perhaps some people here, especially people who are relatively new to music production may be able to take something away from the videos:

Mixing/Mastering / FL STUDIO users who are experiencing latency issues.

hi guys, this isn't a post seeking help, more spreading information. I don't know why I didn't do this before but something has been told to me which is so simple!
now all us FL users experience bad latency issues and I'm sure we are all aware of the usual:
buffer lengths / export to audio / switch smart disable on .....Etc etc etc its been talked about on forums for ages.
now i have just been informed of a simple way to give you like 2-3gb more memory in your project. See i normally just launch FL from my desktop but it is set to launch your regular FL.exe file. This is a lower memory version of the program. It is as simple as opening the right .exe file type.
So i use FL 10 still.....(12 if i want to use my 64bit plugins, but i generally arrange in 10) ..... and my project was freezing and giving me issues and it was literally as simple as:
C drive --> Program filex (x86) --> Image-Line --> Fl studio 10 --> FL (extended memory).exe
then open my project in the extended memory version .....boom 2 gigs more memory and no issues.
This may be common knowledge to some but others it may not - so there you go. if you are getting bad CPU issues, give that a shot.
