I'm currently working on a project on the sonification of climate Data.

We're trying to represent the different climate phenomena with real world sounds, e.g. rainfall by rain etc.
If there's no direct iconic sound, we're using metaphorical sounds, e.g. the sounds of leaves in the wind for plants.

Now, I'm looking for a recorded sound to represent temperature. What are your associations with that?

Also, what sound are you thinking of when you think about hot days?
