WIPs / Re: Is this mix ok?

This sounds really good, I'm actually envious of the kind of quality you got on this. Your sequencing is really nice too. Me likes!

Finished Tracks / Re: Shylow - Help Me | Feedback pls

Wow man, your mixing is phenomenal in my opinion. Your breakdown didn't amount to nothing, definitely brought it back with a dope rhythm. To be honest, I don't really have any criticism aside from my tastes as a music listener, meaning I don't much care for the drum & bass clap build up but like I said, that's a taste thing. Everything about this track is sonically sound. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback! Indeed I do have a low pass filter on it, though it came with the patch I used so I've since eliminated it. It does have a lot more crispness to it now.

I've definitely put a lot more work into it and it sounds a whole lot better as a result. I've got this thing where I get so happy with a beat and not running out of creativity that I want to share as soon as possible, instead of stepping away, letting it sit, coming back to it and realizing I can do a lot more. I wish I had Soundcloud pro so I could just constantly update it lol.

[EDIT: I've updated the track to reflect it's final form. Not sure if I should up it to the other forum. Ah well. Hope you guys enjoy]

I made this as a remix of one of my favorite Sonic tracks. My forte sides more with hip hop beats and instrumentals for rapping over. I'm still working on this one, have about 2 more verses to go. I'm free to any and all tips and suggestions! Hope you like!

This is really cool man. Really nailed the chiptune sound to a tee. My only gripe is the last track seems sort of... monotone. I feel the instruments can all be mixed better to bring out their individual strengths. Other than that though, I have no complaints. This is awesome. I don't really see this so much as a JRPG soundtrack, but more of a Shovel Knight soundtrack. Either way, very good! Liked and followed

WIPs / Re: Brass Trap? Want some feedback

The brass needs better mixing for sure. A lot of elements for that matter, though it still sounds really good. I'm really not too sure what could be done aside from meticulous sequencing, which you've already put a lot of work into. Maybe that little vocal effect? I'm not really sure why it's needed, it seems to be an obligatory thing that beat makers use because everyone else does it.

Other than that, I think it's really good. Definitely on the right track. Sound balancing and mixing go a long way.  ;)

WIPs / Re: Would like some feedback on my WIP

Nice mix on the intro, buildup was great but didn't really deliver much of anything (it's a taste thing with me, I'm personally not a fan of repetitive kicks). Also, your kicks seem to be a bit over bearing, even though they're not really loud they still seem to clip out the rest of the song. The track as a whole sounds pretty static, a little more mixing and balancing can go a long way.

Overall pretty good though, especially considering I'm not a fan of drum & bass or house. I've definitely heard worse, that's for sure. Keep at it.
