I have the KRK's now, I have the Rokit 5's. But when I bought them, the dude who worked at Sweetwater, called me up and told me the Yamahas we're a better buy etc etc. Ever since, he's had me thinking, so I figured I'd ask around here. My only complaint would be the subwoofer isn't as "loud" as I expected.

On the other hand, I have a pair of studio beats, which I've come to understand aren't the best pair of headphones to mix down with, so I'm considering a pair of the audio-technicians, unless someone suggests anything better ...

I considered vocals, but didn't really know how to go about it. When i started this project i wanted to do everything i could to keep everything minimal and make the small things count. But what matters most is you said the mix down was good, which makes me happy. Thanks for the incite appreciate it !

I watched the video you posted, because i've never used "Multi-Band" Side-chaining before. Afterwards i attempted it myself in Ableton, my only question is when you apply the compression, its only being applied to the low end correct? I'm not suppose to apply it to the mids or highs, right ?

What's up guys, i recently started learning the beginning stages of mixing down tracks. I've been having lots of trouble with being able to dictate if my compression is making the difference. Also i've been having trouble EQ'ing my kicks and layering them properly with the subs. Anyways i recently attempted to mix down this track i wrote, i'd appreciate any sort of insight, try and take it easy on me lol
