Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Re: Why should I consider Serum?

I was considering Serum and Massive and am curious, how much did you sell Massive for?

Well they're on El Capitan now, so as far as I know you can't even get Mavericks anymore.

Previous downloaded OS can be found in the app store under "Purchased."

As for Mavericks, I think it would depend more on what machine you are running. I just did a clean install with El Capitan on my 2011MBP and it works better than ever and Live 9.5 works great. I had issues with my SSD on Yosemite and Mavericks because of the Trim feature, but after upgrade I have a serious increase in speed.

On the other hand, I just reverted my pals 2014 iMac back to Yosemite for stability. His last install was upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite and then to El Capitan and he was experiencing the same issues that most people were complaining of when using NI plugs and MPC software.

I say go for it. It was one of my more stable installs on a few computers.

Here is a video tutorial on optimising your interface when using Ableton Live.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkBIqMPvz8c
This is an essential step to ensure your recorded audio tracks are lining up properly.

Common buffer sizes like 128, 192 or 256 samples works well for playing live and 1024 and higher for more stability. Stay with multiples of 64. Smaller buffer sizes feel best when using controllers or playing live.

I recommend the Komplete 6 for most people. It sounds great and has most of the connections you will need including SP/DIF for digital. Guitar Center has them now for $199 http://www.guitarcenter.com/Native-Instruments/Komplete-Audio-6-1302806632183.gc

Be carful with the USB jack on any interface. I just broke mine and was shopping for a replacement and decided to go with Firewire this time. I recently bought the Focusrite Saffire 14 Pro and I just exchanged it for a mixer-interface combo for the same price.

Sweetwater offers free coverage too http://www.sweetwater.com/about/warranty/

Where I live we have a high amount of people into music production. Craigslist is very active here in town and I have personally bought much of my gear used off Craigslist. My last purchase was a APC40 in new condition for $120. I have several licensed copies of software I am wanting to trade or sell. Previously, I have bought items off people out of state using craigslist and Paypal with no problem.

I recently bought my second license of Ableton Live Intro and will be selling my old copy(s) of Intro 8 and later this year when I upgrade. I also own multiple VST's and copies of Tracktor Pro that are collecting dust now that my TT's were stolen.
I have OP-1 and OP-2 expansion cards for an SP-808 sampler that are rare and decent stack of midi controllers that i'm sure someone could use.

Payment method should be decided by those conducting the transaction.
Paypal, Bitcoin are the obvious solutions.
Use discretion. If there is doubt then don't buy/sell.

Most forums I have lurked over the years have such activity with their users.

I would like a dedicated marketplace for us to buy, sell and trade our hardware or software.
