Trans-X from waves is pretty nice, but mostly I find myself using the envelope shaper in Cubase Pro 8.

Just been recently using the waves trans-X and I agree it's pretty damn good! :D

When I really need one, Transient Master from NI works great. ...the whole concept though was made by SPL back then, so they know it the best, but if you have Komplete for example, NI one works as good.

...also BitterSweet from Flux works great. Less control, but it's free.

Yah I heard great things about the transient master plug thanks for the suggestion! And about bitter sweet I actually downloaded it and tried using it and it was way to buggy on my project , like sometimes I would press play and the plugin would play back the sound like totally bypassed as if I didn't even shape the transient lol.

The Logic one is quite great actually. I use Alloy 2's Transient Designer for the most part if I absolutely need to (like with samples, for example). But usually you can adjust the attack from the synth itself, granted you are using a synth.

for me recently I have found I got the best results with the waves trans X , it allows me to really control how I want my click on my kick and with the logic stock one it just seems like it kinda fades out the transient by kinda just doing a slower attack at least that's what it sounds like to me. I rather keep the transient but just not have it up front so much so it sits better in the mix.
