How strict is this? Are moderators going to combine concurrent posts... within a certain time? Does the length of the post matter? Is there any incentive?

Not likely, considering I remember seeing Mat say he wanted it to be like the old style of forums, and they never had anything like that. No incentive except geek rep points (;

It's a count of many times "like" buttons have been pressed on your posts.
