What/Who inspired you to start?

I think it would be a good idea to know each other stories so that maybe we could find ways to get inspired or get to know one another.

I got inspired after seeing kaskade play here in the philippines. His set really moved me and after that i decided to shift from studying engineering to music production.

I have been a big fan of dance music for years. Whenever I was depressed, a good song made my day.  I started to think that I want to inspire others by making my own music.

Daft Punk - Discovery, hands down. The album that still amazes me. imo nearly everything on there is top notch. Then seeing (over youtube) their Alive 2007 tour which blew me away. After that, Justice with Cross and seeing their live tour (again over youtube, they never toured near where I live) I was hooked.

When I was in highschool I neverrrrrrrrrrrr listened to electronic, then saw a deadmau5 head on someone's shirt and thought it was a metal band. Searched, found Moar Ghosts and 16th Hour (still my favorite track by him), and pretty much instantly wanted to make music. Thankful for that random girl wearing that shirt lmao

2009/early 2010 Hearing Armin Van Buuren "Fine Without You Now" and Tiesto "In The Dark", "Escape Me", "I Will Be Here".

I was going thru a tough time and these songs were basically my intro to dance music. It changed everything. I loved rap, hip hop, r&b, italian american music...but these songs struck a chord at the right time and there was no looking back.

Messed around with dj'ing in college and never thought I had an artistic bone in my body until about a year ago when I knew there was nothing else I'd rather do than make music and eventually turn it into my career.

No that I think about it, my brother. My brother used to play around with 'coolmixpro' (i cant remember exactly what it was called) in the late 90s and I would sit and watch. I got my own computer when I was 11 and started making general midi versions of Daft Punk tracks and stuff, eventually trying to do my own compositions. It was Daft Punk ultimately who inspired me to start making electronic music though

Never going to forget my first time going to a show/ listening to dance music. I got home from college my first year and one of my friends begged me to go to this club with him to see sultan and ned shepard. i was super skeptical about going but he ended up convincing me to go and the rest was history :p

I was doing homework one night and I wanted like a mega mix of music to listen to. So I typed into youtube, Music Mega Mix. And to my surprise this was kind of as life changing event. OneRepublic - Alesso Vs. OneRepublic - If I Lose Myself (Remix) ft. Alesso came on and it was just amazing. I feel in love with this song, I would play it all day and night. I then stumbled upon Avicii - X You. These two songs sparked something inside of me, and all I wanted to do was make music like this. My biggest role model that inspired me though is probably Alesso.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Then it meant picking up a guitar, I didn't even know that music production existed. I think they were the first musical group to really give me that drive to create.

Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and everyone that made Big Beat music. and after someone giving me a CD of EJay at the time, I just screwed around with it and fell in love with creating electronic music

I had always messed around a little bit in garageband and made stuff, but a few years ago I stumbled across a Pendulum song I liked in a minecraft video. That probed me into looking around at other songs until I found Madeon, which was like bingo I wanna do this!
