I use FL, but it's annoying because it kinda sucks at handling a big load tracks... I have to export it and I end up with 5+ projects for a single song... At one point I remeber fijiwiji ranting about it because it started lagging on him when he only had like 5 tracks

However, IMO FL is a great DAW to start off on

It's just hilarious with all the people complaining about Logic lately. But I'm surprised there's so few Cubase users.

Ableton at first was really scary. But just toying around with the interface and learning my own way of navigating helped me out a ton. Has anyone messed with bitwig? I am heard some good things about it. Opinions?

i've used fl studio for 8 years with no end in sight. shoutouts to lifetime free updates!

but i've also used renoise, and while i can't see myself using it too much, it is a very fun and refreshing take on the music production process.

I sincerely hate when people judge you when you say you're using Fl Studio.
I'm no longer using it though, for different reasons of course.
Switched to Logic cause the Organization of automations is just automatically done.
Could've and wanted to tried Ableton, but could never get into it cause of it's interface.
All of us are students.Except some of us just stop learning. And I need you to keep going. There isn't going to be a happy ending, there's just gonna be happy struggle. But the struggle will be worth it.

Automation is just awful in FL studio, but other than that it's great.

It's easy to learn, hard to master kind of deal. Very rewarding for the input time, especially for beginners
I would write something here, but I'm too lazy to do so

I started with Ableton and I love it, my main issue with it is that it's suuuper expensive (extremely jealous of you FL people with your lifetime updates). I've tried other DAWs and enjoyed them for different reasons but I'm so used to working in Ableton that i never actually get anything done in other DAWs.

I've always personally felt that there's no real purpose in comparing DAWs, but I suppose they come with their different capabilities and tools that make them unique.. But at it's core, whichever DAW you choose can essentially do the same thing. It's about how you use it and how creative you can be with your tools. I've used FL studio for like 6years, pretty much simply because I like the workflow and way it looks.. Everything is laid out in front of you, which can be daunting, yes.. but I understand very quickly how things work. Whereas with Ableton, without someone teaching me, Id never have a clue how to use it.

Whatever works for you is best!

I feel like I'm one of the few that still uses Cubase! Sadly I wish I was completely proficient at Ableton/FL but Cubase just feels like an extension of my body now, and I'm not sure I could ever pick up another DAW to the same level of comfort I have now.
