Prog Trance 4.17 (Almost done)
« on: April 22, 2017, 04:13:20 pm »
Hey guys!

Well, it looks like my New Years resolution of finishing tracks is starting to work out =)

I'm almost done, but I am insecure about the drop at around 2:00 and other various parts of the track, and I've heard it so much that I've lost my objectivity about it lol so it would be great to do a test on some fresh ears! (I hope they're fresh, at least)

Any feedback would be great  8)

I really like the vibe. When the song first started I was immediately intrigued. I like the pluck that plays throughout. I think the lifter before the breakdown sounds a bit too harsh (but maybe it's just me). The mini build a few seconds before 2:00 is good. But maybe it needs something else after like a crash. Although, adding a crash can be too cliche. But if it works it works. This song has a nice chill vibe to it and those are minor things I would work on.
I love the way music can have such a profound effect on the human race!

The arp synth sounds a bit plain for 2017 I guess. I'd make it switch places with something else, just for fun. But may be you went for the oldschool vibe. I LOVE the track after the little drop, though. The parts with the piano and occasional gated vocal thing are awesome. Also you've really nailed the stabs and the way bass pays alongside them. (I kill for synth preset of these. ;D ) You are going for the proggy feel a lot and it works out quite well so far. :)
