I use mostly Massive but i'm thinking about buying Serum. It certainly looks like it's worth the price!

I somehow got a free omnisphere 2 upgrade. Not sure how it came about but yeah Omnisphere 2 is by far the uncontested best synth for me. Not just for its amazing sound but for its diversity and endless pool of samples.

I guess Sylenth1 is the one I use the most, mainly for chords, because it sounds great and is easy on cpu. Harmor is also great.
FM8 an Sytrus for fm stuff - dirty basses.
Diva for experimenting with cool basses, it eats cpu so I use it monophonically.
Serum > Massive for wavetable synthesis, but actually I don`t use them that often because I don`t incorporate growls and stuff into my music.
I started getting into Spire recently to complement Sylenth1 chords, it sounds really lush but it`s hard on cpu so I have to limit unison voices in it.
Absynth for some magical pads.
Outside synthesis I love mda ePiano and Lounge Lizard EP-4 for rhodes and Chromaphone for cool sounds/attacks of mallets, bells etc.
Cheers!

My go to synths are Sylenth1, Massive and FM8. I've been using Serum, Synthmaster and Spire a lot too lately. Especially Serum is super easy to work with (Similar to sylenth and massive imo) and good for weird sounds

Serum is the obvious answer. And I use DIVA and Razor in almost all my tracks too. Zebra is fun too! And Spire can make some fucking great unique metallic sounds.

However I find "Sugar Bytes Cyclop" to be super underrated. Its so fucking weird. There is even a build-in shoot-em-up game build into it, which creates sounds (yeah I know it sounds crazy.

Oh and everything from the Kong Legacy bundle. Wavestation got all those sexy 90's piano sounds, which all these deep house producers love using.
Who gives a fuck?

My favourite plugin is definitely FM8, and I don't even use the most complicated features of it! I keep it pretty basic honestly. I just love how bright FM synthesis sounds, and i've gotten so used to it that I can make what I want pretty quickly now :)

ive really been enjoying sylenth lately, but i feel like im stagnating with what im capable of synthsizing.
what are some go-to techniques for making interesting sounds in sylenth ?
or even some resources that you used that have resonated ?

Check out Dune 2! Very powerful

I second this! I like the sound of it very much. The default skin is kind of a bummer, though. I use this free skin.

FM8 and Serum are my favorite, Analog and Operator were my first.

The Sub Phatty is my favorite psychical synth I own.

sylenth1, virus ti, fm8, albino, and massive. I have spire but I haven't really played around with it much, though I can see why people consider it to be a superior alternative to sylenth.
