Activation emails going to SPAM directory
« on: September 15, 2016, 10:59:58 pm »
Signed up with my Gmail account and it appears your activation emails are going straight into spam on Gmail ... may want to look into that, or have someone who knows how to setup DKIM/SPF do it for you.

I know you guys are using Google Apps, but you should still setup the SPF and DKIM (checked default) records, which I don't see any under your domain (or returned from the DNS server).

Another option would be to use a service like SendGrid (their free tier supports like 12k emails a month IIRC)

Let me know if you have any questions or need help, i've had to do it for a large number of clients.  Looking forward to participating and contributing on this site, thanks for setting it up!

Thanks for letting us know! A lot of the site admins are very busy with their music careers and stuff, but I'll try to contact them and see if we can get it resolved. :)

Yeah perfectly understandable, I have a few forums I setup and being in the same boat there's plenty of times i've missed things or didn't even know about them because I was so busy, was just trying to help out and let you guys know and help contribute to the site if need be :P

I think adding l/o/u/i/s///v-u-i-t-t-o-n to a blacklist would cut down on like 80 of the spam posts that make it through. Thats all I ever see.
