Has anyone used any of the Vengeance plugins?
« on: January 19, 2016, 02:10:24 pm »
I literally do not know anyone in my own circle who owns these (PhiltaXL excluded as it's free).

Some of the bundles look like decent value for money but I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on any of them, and also on the iLok feature?

Vengeance Multiband Sidechain is my go-to sidechain. Can't live without it.

Also Phalanx (sampler) and metrum are great tools - i use metrum for most of my kicks, and phalanx all over my sessions for a lot of addon sounds.

Same here - it's a great plugin that gets used in every one of my dance tracks.  Philta is good, but I don't use it much, since I have other filter plugins that I prefer (e.g., FilterFreak, Volcano).  I picked up GlitchBitch and TapeStop for dirt cheap, but I'm not that crazy about them TBH - they're definitely better for live performance than for studio use.  I owned their MB Compressor, but sold it after FabFilter released Pro-MB.  The Vengeance MB Compressor has a great interface (though, not nearly as good as Pro-MB's IMO), but everything seems to be over the top.  Getting transparent results from it was pretty difficult, but it did have a lot of character and is really designed to get dance music pumping.

I think most people are the same, which is why I asked.  :)
