« on: January 09, 2016, 02:43:24 am »
Hey people. I'm new to the forum here and wanted to post a track. I'm looking for feedback, constructive criticism or downright bashing. as long as you listen to it first and tell me what you think :)

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to hearing back from you all.

Dude.  Straight up, your bass work is amazing.  Super clean and intricate (and I love that).  I got into really mixing and producing electronic in 2009/2010 and I loved progressive and electro.  This tune brings back fond memories of scouring the internet for more electro house.

Really really great tune.  Other things I like: your bass pluck on that breakbeat part is great - super clean.  The breakbeat percussion is incredible.  I am a huge sucker for clean jungle/breaks percussion.  Don't know how you made that. (loop?  one shots? created them yourself?)

Your percussion throughout is great.  Super clean.  Ahhhh I'm listening through the end with your chord stabs, bass stutter, and the you just added the mid pluck over the top.  Really great stuff there.

Love this tune, dude.  Got a new follower.  And I'm gonna sift through the rest of your tunes to see what else you've got.  Big big big electro pls.
I produce for Him.  Not me.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the positive feedback. I'm pretty sure the break beat was a loop that I sliced up. Seemed like a good place for it!
Thank you for the SC follow as well. Followed back :)

Hey man, I thought this was pretty good!

Your sound design is quality, I love the plucks at the start and the bass sounds are crisp. Very nice.

I'd say a few things I don't like though. I think before the first drop there isn't really much of a build up, and I think if you did have a distinct build up then it'd feel like the drop hits much harder. If you had either some rising noise or a synth which is being pitched up it might work :)

Also the section at around 1:50 with the snare drums in the background feels a bit too cluttered. I know the genre is meant to be glitchy and stuff but in my opinion the snares there don't work.

So yeah i'd say my main tip is arrangement could be better, but as I said the sound design is really really nice and production-wise it sounds really clear which is good :)

Sean Tyas called, he wants his sample back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqCt5Fryl9I&t=56s  ;D :P

Thought the 4/4 section would hit harder if the preceding breakdown-ish section was a bit quieter. It is a good track though, great arranging skills.
