hi guys, i was actually trying to find a way to get my drums have that punchy feeling in my own tracks. Mussar gave me a really nice tip that is parallel compression. So i made my research on it and as far as i know, it is possible to achieve this on ableton with basically the Glue Compressor as an insert effect as long as the dry/wet knob is at 50%. Does this mean that both signals, the compressed one and the "harmonious" one are mixed together on a track? or am i wrong somewhere? At least it feels like my Kick/snare sounds way more punchy and it still has really nice dynamics. Would love to hear your techniques, or learn if im wrong somewhere. thx guys

Hi guys i'm actually working on a bass tune and i wanted to have ur opinions on it. I'm basically a beginner since its been only 4 months im into this but i'm determined to make my productions better. if u guys have any tips, criticism, mixing techniques i'd be glad to hear them. u can say its shit and give me feedbacks on why u think its shit, i'd rather hear that than just a its alright or its bad and nothing else.

i'm using serum (not using presets), some cymatics and other companies/artists samples, camel crusher and ableton's plugins, nothing's quite mixed yet apart from some basic compression, eqing, and volume automation.
