A section for remix competitions and opportunities

I think this would be a really great way for people to announce upcoming remix competitions.
Perhaps a board announcing upcoming events, or a way for local artists to connect.
Just a thought!

RemixComps has been dead in the water for months, why not?

It's cool, but there are so many sites dedicated to this.

Yeah but, imagine someone not well known who's searching for remixers, it's the perfect place to found some! I agree with this suggestion :)

Great idea

Others are wavo.me and splice.com but It's not really easy to find a small remix comp.

Cool idea, unsure if mat 'n mods would like to direct people away from the site though. I'm not sure what their business plan is or if there even exists one (srsly... who's paying for all this??), but well... directing people away from your own thing is never a good thing

I would write something here, but I'm too lazy to do so

i think it's a great idea. it's not like you're redirecting them into the hands of a competing forum, likely any remix contests will be over splice/wavo/etc and they'll come back here to post their new fresh remix in the WIP section  ;)

Hmm.. yeah that's true actually. Then it would only spread publicity and increase activity.

Ok i'm all for it!

Not hosting competitions on this site tho

I've seen a lot of smaller artists on Indaba, Wavo, and a bunch of other remix sites.
