Any Trance Music tip and trick videos and tutorials on youtube?
« on: January 07, 2016, 11:24:03 am »
I am interested in making trance music, i have tried several time to make trance but i just doesn't sound as goo as the recorded music especially the effects. I'd love for you to share with me tutorials which helped you learn a certain technique, be it arrangement, dynamics, reverb, delay. If you watched for another genre and you think it is relevant don't hesitate to share too

Thanks

Imagine my surprise when I found out "restraining order" did not mean she wanted me to tie her up.

I was also going to suggest those videos.  If you're also using FL Studio those are a gold mine.  Great tips no matter what, though.

It doesn't matter what DAW you use for tutorials, if you know your DAW you can do any tutorial. I strongly suggest checking out www.dancemusicproduction.com. I have done both Trance tutorials on here as well as the Mixing and Mastering tut. They gave me a step-by-step guide to creating uplifting trance which is exactly what I wanted. The finer details was what I was missing from my work. In total it was about 10-15 hrs of tutorials and about 20-30 hrs of practical work. The best part is taking what he says and creating your own original track as you go with him. Very intuitive and very informative.

I think Sadowick does some of the best youtube tutorials and he incorporates a lot of trance-like elements in his music. I'm sure you'll learn something from them!

Or if you wanna go a bit back in time, Airbase did great trance tutorials:

...I still think they're some the best ones.

...but don't overdo it, because that's called being a d***k.
