i'd be curious to hear about how you did the pad in the drop/chorus, it sounds SO accurate.
So first off, I remade the pad in the intro - this is important because it's a main layer in the chorus section. In the chorus it's the same synth without any filtering! There's also an additional layer of a stereo-ized soundfont (the choir one) playing very high notes, this is where you get the airy, floaty atmosphere from

What are you using to achieve that wideness in the sounds? i mean, besides the classic reverb, delay, chorus... i usually use a stereo imager vst for this, is it a good idea? or maybe the combination of all of these sometimes can fucked up the sound? this remake has a very identical sound to the original, congrats!

I got bored a week or two ago and made this in a couple of days, not finishing but thought I'd share here:

Hey man. I'd love to get the midi on the chords in the background. Could you tell me the progression or send the midi? I've always loved that progression and I can't get his chords right a lot. He uses so many inversions and 7ths/9ths sometimes on some songs and I have trouble finding them.

I'm curious.. did you use the soundbank that Porter used or were all of these sounds made from scratch?? Because this is scary accurate. O.O
